SELENA GOMEZ ANOTHER CINDERELLA STORY FULL MOVIE ONLINE MOVIE
In addition to the classic teen vibes you’ll get from this movie, it’s also a gold mine for well-known movie quotes. Putting these two together is still one of the greatest casting jobs of all time. Hilary starred as Samantha in A Cinderella Story alongside the king of Young Hollywood in 2004, Chad Michael Murray. That same year, Hilary Duff gave us a performance that would go on to become one of her most celebrated of all time. Both of Anne Hathaway’s princess blockbusters were huge hits, making sure the royal flicks weren’t going anywhere anytime soon. Ella carries an unfortunate curse that makes her do as she’s told, no matter what. Here’s the trailer:Ī few months before the second Princess Diaries was released, Anne took on another princess role in Ella Enchanted. Ella’s name is obviously a play on the name Cinderella, but the plot is a bit different. If you haven’t seen The Princess Diaries yet, it’s a MUST watch. While Mia’s character wasn’t Cinderella, the film followed the same storyline and was meant to be a modern twist on the classic fairytale. She returned as Mia Thermopolis in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, one of the most celebrated princess movies of all time. Anne Hathaway starred in not one, but TWO royal inspired movies that year. Brandy’s portrayal of Cinderella was both relatable and aspirational, making her a role model for viewers. In 1997, Brandy transformed the character from a fictional cartoon princess to a role model for girls everywhere. To celebrate the anniversary of Selena’s breakout role, here’s an extensive history of some of the most iconic Cinderellas we’ve seen over the years. However, the surge in reboots of Cinderella movies didn’t start with Selena. Her insanely catchy song “Tell Me Something I Don’t Know” appeared on the movie’s soundtrack and is still a party starter if you’re with the right crowd. She was hilarious and relatable, but the “Boyfriend” singer was also a total rockstar. The musical rom-com took Selena from a Disney sitcom actress to a full-blown movie star. In 2008, Selena Gomez invented main character energy with her performance in Another Cinderella Story. And when Joey, the big star, smartly defies his money-grubbing parents and even helps Mary with the housework so he can spend time with her, the usual silent-but-handsome prince role takes on a lot more character.Selena Gomez’s Another Cinderella Story came out 13 years ago today. Plus, instead of sticking to the most popular dance moves - there are plenty of those throughout the rest of the movie - the masked couple at the ball goes for classy and launches into a tango. Lynch, a fabulous comedic actress, is both a wicked stepmother figure and a pathetic fading pop star (her opening back acne commercial is laugh-out-loud funny). It's a lot to cram in, and it stalls a few times before the big dance finish.īut some of its more unconventional elements make ANOTHER CINDERELLA STORY more worthwhile, especially for modern tweens. Then there are the jealous plans to split the pair apart, and a big dance competition to get them back together. This movie is perfect for its target audience of tweens/early teens and I wish more movies like this were available with today's stars!Ĭinderella stories usually end at the big reveal, but this refreshing take keeps on trucking through a courtship (with some rather cheesy moments).
You genuinely like each of these characters (except the mean girl) by the end of the show whether you liked them at the beginning or not. There are some funny moments, some thinking 'would I do that?' moments, and some 'good for her' moments. They also have very different 'happy endings' but seeing how different they are, the characters should end happily-ever-after differently. The 3 main characters in the movies are all very different personalities but they grow and learn to accept each other by the end of the movie. This is a classic movie about mistaken identity and learning to get along. If you are looking for a cute, adventurous movie with NO SWEARING, NO NUDITY, NO SEXUAL SCENES or INNUENDOS, NO SMOKING, and NO DRUGS then this is the movie for you (and us!)! This movie reminds me of some of the 1960's Disney movies that were plot-wise too old for little kids but still 'safe' for the not quite teenagers. Several other reviewers disliked the movie calling it predictable and boring but I have to vehemently disagree. Monte Carlo is a charming movie for tweens and/or teens.
